My new toy: Nokia N800

Finally I have my new laptop replacement, and I really mean replacement. I sold my laptop and now the N800 will be my secondary computer along with my N73.
I've been playing with it now for a few hours and I think I handle it good enough to be ready to use it fully. Time to upgrade the firmware and start putting things together as I like them to be.
I had some bluetooth issues at first startup and it just wouldn't enable but luckily it started working after a restart.
I still do have one issue though, I can't get my gmail accounts set up to send on this thing yet. Took a while to get it to receive but I finally solved it.
So if anyone knows the right settings for sending I really would be thankful. ;)
Now I have to go back and play with my geek toy as my co-worker called it, lol..

Are you setting up Gmail as POP3 accounts? If so, for sending, set the sending server to smtp.gmail.com. Go to the advnaced tab in account configuration. Put your full email address in the user name field. Set security to SSL and Outgoing email port to 465. Mine works fine on two Gmail accounts.

Thanks for the reply, Unfortunately those settings doesn't work for me. And the receiving part seems a bit fecked too, it works but I got the notification email for your comment 8 times to my N800 while only once to Gmail. :)

Ok, well this seems to be one of those " Firmware upgrade annoyances" things again.

I deleted all accounts I created before the firmware upgrade now and made them again and now all seems to work fine with the same settings I had before. And I can't even blame S60 for this one. :)
